Isabella Gardner Museum

Starting Point
We gathered at the local train station for our trek into "the city." The conductor gave us a real deal by classifying our group as "family group fare" (which were were, of course!) and cutting our estimated train expenses in half. Nice way to start off!

The ISGM Experience
This museum was a person's HOME... the entire collection reflects this woman's varied and highly educated tastes. Her rare and old book collections alone were astounding! But the paintings, sculptures, architectural details and gardens at every turn provided new delights... Phil and Erin spent most of their time near the central gardens. Us "grups" (with Layla in tow) meandered up and down over and about... only to decide it really was worth coming back to look again!
